Foreign Minister, Palestinian Vice President Discuss Tragic Developments In Palestine

Muscat: Today, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, spoke with Hussein AlSheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine and Deputy Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee.

During the call, they addressed the horrific events in the Palestinian territories, including the continuing Israeli genocide against people in the Gaza Strip, as well as the hunger and siege policies imposed on the Strip.

The two sides stressed the need for coordinated regional and international attempts to stop this vicious assault, lift the embargo, and guarantee the unrestricted flow of humanitarian assistance. They also highlighted the need to continue supporting diplomatic, political, and judicial efforts aimed at restarting meaningful negotiations for a just and complete peace based on international norms and the two-state solution.

The Foreign Minister urged for a greater worldwide plea to defend humanity and stop the crimes and famine in Gaza on his turn. He underlined Oman's unwavering strategy, which is based on dialogue, justice, respect for international law, and support for the Palestinian people's right to create an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
