This action is consistent with the Authority's objective of improving market monitoring and protecting consumer interests.

Breakdown of Violations by Governorate:

• Muscat Governorate led the list with 1,363 infractions, which the CPA attributed to a strong degree of economic activity and the hard work of its inspection groups.

• North Al Batinah Governorate came second, with 754 infractions.

• South Al Batinah (Barka) recorded 213 infractions.

• North Al Sharqiyah had 184 infractions.

• South Al Sharqiyah recorded 177 infractions.

It also urged citizens to report any violations through proper channels in order to improve regulatory monitoring and promote fair commercial transactions.
